The Cerea family

The Cerea family

A name: Vittorio. And a family, a name that is a mark of excellence in the world of catering and hospitality. Devotion acknowledged by the guidebooks - Three Michelin Stars – and the loyalty of an ever-increasing clientele. An unmistakable culinary style whose dynamism and vitality have been with us for over 50 years, thanks to the insight of its founder and father - Vittorio – and the enhancements introduced by his children, who have integrated tradition with the latest techniques in recent years. A harmonious combination that gets the best out of the finest raw materials, sourced wherever they grow best. Today, ‘Da Vittorio’ is run by Signora Bruna Cerea and her five children. Enrico and Roberto are both chefs, Francesco manages the wine cellar and catering services, Rossella is head of hospitality at the Restaurant and Dimora, while Barbara runs Cavour 1880, the café-patisserie in Bergamo Alta.

ENRICO CEREA

Enrico Cerea, or Chicco, is the eldest son of Bruna and Vittorio. It was clear that he was destined to follow in the family footsteps when a young boy... He was imbibed with their enthusiasm to the point that he spent all of his free time, starting with the school holidays, watching, nosing around and studying the secrets of recipes from all around the world.
Backed by a talent that has never been an end in itself, he developed his own, very personal style that combines Vittorio’s recipes with his sensitivity and the technique he has perfected over the years. He has never stopped learning.

ROSSELLA CEREA

Rossella has left the honour (and responsibility) of the kitchen to her brothers, preferring to perfect the art of hospitality by studying the gestures of her parents, splendid patrons of the restaurant. It is her job to coordinate the operations of the two teams, striking a fine balance between the pace in the kitchen with the waiter service, as well as describing the extraordinary selection of cheeses that really has few rivals... She also took over the running of the Dimora since the move to the new location, handling the decor of the rooms and the mood of the hospitality with her skilful combination of professional approach and warm familiarity. Gifts and specialities are another area handled by Rossella: her elegant gift boxes and famous Da Vittorio Christmas hampers are now found in every corner of the globe.
